The View from Santa Lucia...

Greetings to all from Santiago. This morning i woke up, held a steaming cup of tea, and stared at the sun rising from the Andes... mmm...

Yesterday i had a most wonderful day. I climbed to the top of Santa Lucia in the center of Santiago. My view from its crest was most breathtaking... and seeing the city and the mountains from that height was nice too...

Later i wrapped my arms around a Chilean Beauty and gazed off at the sun blanketing the mountains with a soft glow as it descended to its bed in the valley of the Andes.

This country is one of exquisite beauty... tomorrow i will journey to a tiny town in surrounded by the mountains. The streets of this town sparkle with flecks of gold, silver, and copper that wash down from the surrounding peaks. Tomorrow i venture to where the streets have no name... this is Gods country...

Only singular for Quijote, please : ) Unless he wishes to talk about his family.. hehe.. I think you get to see him before me ! Darn you... :-P Well, naw. I'll be more positive and say "Lucky you" instead : )hehe...sniff..

So it was still singular for you too, huh? :-D You might have done just fine without the Spanish classes, my friend! lol. Good for you ; ) But I'm definitely a huge Neruda fan too.

Neruda is truly amazing; you have another motive for learning Spanish, I assume, in the form of the aformentioned Chilean beauty, but reading Neruda in the original Spanish is something to savor, truly...

So now you get the whole captivation with the Andes thing I had during high school, eh? One day I shall return...

Que lo disfrutes, primo...
